Egg-hatching process activity
In the egg-hatching process activity, students observe and learn about the stages of an egg developing into a chick by watching it live. They monitor the eggs daily, noting changes and recording their observations. Through this process, they gain insight into the stages of embryo development, from fertilization to growth and formation inside the eggshell. As the hatch day approaches, students can observe the chick moving inside the shell and may even hear faint peeping sounds. The activity culminates when the chicks break through their shells, allowing students to witness the remarkable process of life emerging right before their eyes.
