The beginning of the 2022-23 academic year ushered in a new era at Shanghai Qibao Dwight High School with the appointment of Robert (Robbie) Shields as American Principal.
One of Dwight’s longest-standing traditions, which has been extended across our global network of Schools in recent years, is the Camerer Essay Competition. It is named for Dr. Emil E. Camerer, who was a prominent educator in his day and Dwight’s Headmaster from 1895-1926.
Our 2023 HeadStart Schools Global Concert marked many seminal moments: the return to our annual music festival in person in New York after three years, Dwight’s milestone 150th anniversary, and the beginning of our School’s next chapter.

We are delighted to announce the latest addition to our HeadStart Schools, HeadStart School Hanoi, which has a planned opening in August 2024 for preschool through grade 12.
We are delighted to share the latest exciting development from our campus in the cloud: HeadStart ONLINE School was selected by the International Baccalaureate as a partner to pilot the delivery of the two-year Diploma Program in an online school environment.
The end of the academic year is a time for many celebrations, including a salute to the winners of our Global Camerer Essay Competition.
Extending one of Dwight’s most time-honored traditions, HeadStart School Seoul hosted our annual global concert in person this year for their community at the Lotte Concert Hall.
