What to expect from Robotics Summer Camp 2024 ?

STEAM Integration:

  • Robotics pulls together different scientific and engineering disciplines. You'll likely learn about mechanics, electronics, coding, and even artificial intelligence, giving you a well-rounded understanding of these STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) fields.

Problem-solving and Critical Thinking:

  • Building and programming robots involves tackling challenges and making things work. You'll develop critical thinking skills as you troubleshoot issues, experiment with solutions, and refine your designs.

Coding Proficiency:

  • Most robotics courses involve some level of programming to control the robot's movements and sensors. This can introduce you to the basics of coding languages like Python or C++, valuable skills in today's tech-driven world.

HSRC 2024

9th & 10th March

Headstart School’s Robofort Centre for Engineering & Robotics , organized its
7th HSRC 2024. A mega competition that hosted 13 eminent schools and universities from
around the country in a 3 day event.
The competition was held in Headstart School’s Kuri Campus, Islamabad. The modules of the
competition were, AEROS, Drone Light of Sight, Drone FPV, RC Planes,Maze Runner, Line
Tracking, Lego, Logic, and controller-based robots.

To provide a fairer platform for all the contestants, this year the host school, Headstart’s teams
contested against each other and the guest teams were made to compete against the guest teams
only.

Air Robotronics 2024

15th - 17th February

Headstart School’s Robofort Centre for Engineering & Robotics , organized its
7th HSRC 2024. A mega competition that hosted 13 eminent schools and universities from
around the country in a 3 day event.
The competition was held in Headstart School’s Kuri Campus, Islamabad. The modules of the
competition were, AEROS, Drone Light of Sight, Drone FPV, RC Planes,Maze Runner, Line
Tracking, Lego, Logic, and controller-based robots.

In the university category, Nust CEME University emerged victorious in most categories, with notable wins in various segments. The Institute of Space and Technology clinched the Maze Runner category, while Comsats – Wah University secured the RC Plane category. Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University earned the second position in controller-based Line Tracking.
Among schools, Robotronics Pakistan dominated the competition, securing top positions in several categories. Baitussalam claimed victory in the Lego Line Tracking and controller-based Line Tracking segments.

NaSCon 2024

2nd and 3rd March

The National Solutions Convention 2024 organized by FAST NUCES was a three-day event. NaSCon provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, and an environment to showcase exceptional professional skills. Headstart School won the AEROWARS in the NaSCon 2024 at FAST – NUCES. Headstart scored 1st position in the Drone FPV category & 2nd position in the drone – line of sight module.

National Engineering Robotics Contest

In a remarkable display of talent and technological prowess, Headstart School’s robotics team, has achieved exceptional success in the National Engineering Robotics Contest (NERC). The event, held from 11th to 15th July, saw the participation of several schools across the country in various modules. Headstart School’s team stood out by securing top positions in multiple categories, bringing honor to their institution.
Headstart’s team participated in three modules, namely Aeros – Drone, Aeros – RC planes, and the Modular Category for schools. Their dedication, hard work, and innovation led them to secure the 1st position in two different categories.

The National Engineering Robotics Contest comprised approximately 100 rounds, including qualifying, pre-quarters, quarters, semi-finals, and the grand finale. Headstart School displayed their exceptional skills and innovative projects throughout the event, impressing the judges and competitors alike.
The journey to success started with meticulous preparation, with inspection and viva sessions on the 12th of July. The qualifying rounds took place on the 13th of July, followed by the highly competitive quarters on the 14th of July. The climax of the event, the semi-finals, and final, was held on the 15th of July. The team also utilized the 10th of July for practice and registrations, ensuring they were well-prepared for the intense competition.

In the Aeros FPV Drone category, Habib Marwat, a talented member of Headstart School’s team, showcased his exceptional piloting skills and innovative drone design, securing the 1st position. The precision and agility demonstrated by Habib’s drone left the judges and spectators in awe.
Aariz Ali Khan, another brilliant mind from the same team, clinched the 1st position in the Aeros RC planes category. Aariz’s mastery over remote-controlled planes and his ability to execute complex maneuvers set him apart from the competition.
In the Modular School Category, Headstart School made an astounding impact by securing the 2nd position. The collective efforts and teamwork of the following winners proved instrumental in achieving this recognition:

Saadia Habib

Saadia Habib, a visionary in the field of STEM education and technology, has become Pakistan's first female FPV drone pilot. With over 19 years of experience and a multitude of accomplishments under her belt, Saadia is a true pioneer in her field. Her unwavering dedication and expertise in curriculum design, particularly in robotics and aeromodelling, have earned her widespread recognition both nationally and internationally.
