Dear Headstart School Community,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Academic Year, 2020-21 which is just around the corner and to officially introduce myself to you. I consider it a true honour and privilege to have been appointed your Superintendent of Schools and to have taken on the responsibilities of this office earlier in June 2020, during our summer of online learning.
As a renowned independent school operator, Headstart School has earned a reputation for academic excellence. Throughout its illustrious 29 year history, Headstart School has been associated with quality. The passion demonstrated by our teachers, a strong academic program, the wealth of opportunities offered outside the classroom, and the special emphasis on STEM, holistic development, and supporting collegiate success have become our hallmarks.
An educator for 30 years, I have been a member of the Headstart School leadership team for the last 13 years serving as the Principal of the NDR Middle School Campus, and before that as a Coordinator, and a teacher of Literature. I have also had the pleasure of working alongside and mentoring many of the wonderful professionals currently appointed as principals and coordinators across our middle and high school campuses.
I wholeheartedly value what this institution represents and the programs and services it has created. I am committed to building upon past practices to support all students, present and future, to explore their passions and help them achieve their true potential. While serving as your Superintendent of Schools, I plan to be accessible to all stakeholders and maintain an open-door communication policy. I encourage and welcome any questions, comments or concerns you have about our schools.
With our new campus in H-11 nearing completion, and Kuri becoming an authorised IB Continuum World School this past May, this is an exciting time for Headstart School, and, as always, we continue to strive towards further improving and enriching learning experiences for our students.
