Introduction:

The purpose of Headstart School Visual Identity Plan is to present a clear and consistent image of the School to each viewer, reader or recipient every time that person encounters a communication from Headstart School.

The emblem of a star-studded shield bearing the image of a roaring lion signifies academic excellence and leadership which is a trademark of Headstart School.

As the visual representation of Headstart School, these graphics should always be used in a manner that conveys and reinforces the values and mission of the school.

Logos:

Headstart’s primary signature comprises of the wordmark “Headstart School ®” and the stylized shield.

The shield bearing five stars and the image of a roaring lion, representing the academic excellence and leadership that is synonymous with the institution, make up the logo.

Typography

The typefaces used in the primary signature have been selected and crafted especially for the Headstart School’s graphic identity. For the purpose of consistency, components of the graphic identity — the Headstart School wordmark or the shield logo — should never be re-created.

The preferred font is Baskerville. If this font is not installed on your computer system, then use “Times New Roman” as an alternative.

Corporate Colours:

The Headstart School colors are SC 1807C Red, PSC 7406C Yellow and PSC Cool Grey 6C grey.

Stationery:

Stationery is one of the most visible uses of the graphic identity. Stationery includes letterheads, envelopes, mailing labels, business cards, note cards and facsimile cover pages.

To ensure consistency across all forms of stationery, the following pages show examples of approved letterhead, envelopes and business cards.

Headstart School logo in all internal documents such as memos, complimentary slips etc., should be placed in the top left corner with a mininm height of 1 inch and a minimum margin of 0.6 inch.

The logo or wordmark should not be altered in any way when printed on stationery. Always ensure the Pen / Pencil are of the highest quality.

The logo or wordmark should not be altered in any way when printed on shirts. Always ensure the Shirts are of the highest quality.

The logo or wordmark should not be altered in any way when printed on cup. Always ensure the Cups are of the highest quality.

The logo or wordmark should not be altered in any way when printed on Wall Clocks. Always ensure the Wall Clocks are of the highest quality.

The logo or wordmark should not be altered in any way when printed on Key Chain. Always ensure the key chains are of the highest quality.

Two specimen for the fascia are provided and can be used as per requirement.

Custom logos have been created in some instances. These logos have been authorized by The Principal / Headmaster and may not be created without approval. The full name sits next to or below the line in the ‘Baskerville’ typeface. The height and width of the department’s name should not exceed that of the wordmark. The exact size, weight and placement of this type are a part of the Headstart School signature. No substitute may be used in this format.
