Admission Criteria

Montessori:

Admissions are conducted from May through to August, annually. School term commences in September, ending in June the following year. Students are allowed to enroll during school term depending upon the circumstances of late admission, and the availability of places in the program.

There is no assessment or entrance test for children at the Play Group and Montessori I & II stage. Children wishing to enter grades Preparatory and above must pass a school assessment test before being considered for admission.

Elementary:

Letter grade and assigned GPA:

  • A* Exceptional – 4.0
  • A Excellent – 4.0
  • B Above Average – 3.5
  • C Average – 3.0
  • D Below Average – 2.5
  • U Fail (60 or below) – 0.0
  • W Withdraw

A Level:

A’ Levels at Headstart take place over a two year programme (i.e., within the 11th and 12th grade stage). Students initiate at 11th grade – or at AS Level – but it is not uncommon for students to apply after their AS Level year. Headstart receives applications from students wishing to switch schools after the completion of their AS Level year. IGCSE
  • 2 Years of IGCSE qualification from an accredited school.
  • Minimum 6 O’ Level subjects with an average C Grade in GCSE / O’ Level CIE Examinations.
  • Qualify for, and pass, an interview with the Principal.
Matriculation
  • Minimum First Division
  • Students must pass an admission test followed by an interview with the Principal
  • Entrance Exam – English Language Test
AS – completed at an institution other than Headstart
  • students applying for admission directly to A2 must present their predicted grades for a conditional offer of admission.
  • Admission will be granted on the basis of the AS result.
