Ms. Naznin Murtaza is the Founder, CEO, and Chairperson of Headstart School (Pvt. Ltd.) Board of Directors. She founded Headstart School in 1991, and has since, built the school from the ground up, into a network of 11 campuses, and 2,500 students from grades K-12, across Islamabad and Rawalpindi. She is a alumna of Kinnaird College Class of ’79. Under her guidance Headstart also sponsors the schools for SOS Village in Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, and Rawalakot. A keen gardener, Naznin Murtaza has brought to life-her vision of a school- in the landscapes of Headstart’s flagship Kuri Campus.

Ms. Nadine Murtaza is Executive Director at Headstart School. She looks after the IB PYP program, and is the founder of NJs House, and Dheere Bolo, a children’s publishing start up, which is working to develop curricula and content, in local languages for Pakistani students. Nadine is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College ’05 where she pursued her major in political science. In the recent past, she has been invited to speak on a number of platforms, including to TEDex Islamabad. She is also the mother of two children, 4 and 6, who are the inspiration behind her passion for early childhood education.

Mr. Alamdar Murtaza is Executive Director at Headstart School. He currently oversees School Operations and Development. He recently completed his MBA from University of Southern Queensland, Australia before which he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester, NY ’08 where he pursued Religion and Philosophy. Alamdar has previously taught IGCSE English Literature, IGCSE Religious Studies, and has served as Principal of the A Level program at Headstart. He is an avid sports and outdoors enthusiast and hopes to continue to build a strong athletics program at the school.
